The wisest thing that "Cactus Jack" ever put in print was an approach to a REAL Hunting Rifle zero,.....

ONE shot, every morning, ....or Evening, depending on your hunting sched.

If you like clean,.....clean

If you like fouled,......fouled

after a week or 2 you have a good feel for just what your rig, and it's ammo are up to, and can refine with gentle tweaks.

I practiced that advice LONG ago, in a place far away,......
and it WORKS,....for that I thank that old Curmudgeon.

I don't remember him advocating blasting away all day,consuming vast quantities of ammo

......just to get a working zero.

Any of ya'll remember reading that?
