I hear that BC moose hunts are notoriously like this and have been for years now. An outfitter will know how many shootable mature moose his area has, then overbook it drastically. He'll get a certain percentage of hunters on moose, while the lottery-losers get skunked...on purpose.

After all, he needs animals for next year. smirk


You hear? I suppose some may be. I've been there and hunted moose. Have hunted with at least three GOs that offer moose that have very high success rates. I've never heard of anyone being cheated out of a moose. Sheep in the north country maybe, but not moose. I'm sure it happens, but seriously doubt BC is becoming notorious for it.
