I think all too often a LEO for school duty is selected on account of his personality and demeanor, as in friendly and relates well to kids. The kind of man who couldn't bring himself to shoot a kid under any circumstances. A cynical and aloof type wouldn't get the job, but he would be the type who would expect and handle a killer.
