At least that part of the show is reality. Not like the hunting shows where no animal is ever missed or shot in the guts.
It's not pretty, but we know that's reality that it happens sometimes.
but I agree with you, if they got some decent guns with optics they would probably save themselves quite a bit of time and money in the long run.
