I'm very glad to see and hear first hand that what one sees on TV isn't reality at all. That its much different.

Since the wife and I have shot irons just a bit to fair distances, a suggestion for you on the M1A is that you try different aperture sizes in the rear sight. It helps crisp up the front and the front is all that really matters. As to cracked lips, the cold does things to lots of things that normally wouldn't happen.

I don't use pyrodex, don't like the stuff at all, but sometimes like you had no choice. Prefer real black very much. still have a case of dupont from 64... it still does what it was meant to.

You have reconfirmed to me that most filmed stuff is a lot of garbage. I swore off hunting shows after being involved in filming a few many years ago and seeing how damn fake it all was.
