I'd never live close enough to a neighbor or within a density of neighbor(s) to have to concern myself with what their dog(s) we're doing. If a neighbor shot my dog without good reason (that doesn't include simply walking through his property) he'd get nauseous the next time he saw a dog, remembering the ass kicking he took. I've taught my children from an early age that we only take a life for a good reason, be that sustenance or for protection of property or life, with the exception of nuiscance or predation.
