Why hunt bear ?

They are wild animals.
They are ‘game’ animals.
They are edible.
Their heads ‘may’ be record size — like deer antlers.
Their hides are very usable & valuable & beautiful.

I’m NOT talking about shooting over bait. I mean hunt.

My question is:

Why NOT hunt bears ?
