My dad was a great hunter and inspired me the most. He provided plenty of opportunities for me to get into the woods, the fields and the corn for pheasants. Later on John Barsness became the best outdoor writer on the planet, his in depth understanding of all things rifle related and his unassuming style of writing appealing to anyone with an interest in hunting and the outdoors.
