I bought this .308 a couple years ago, I've shot a lot of .308. I cant do the recoil. The 25-06 with my loads are much more mild. I'm not a very big guy and my neck bothers me most of the time. I wish I had room to keep both but with all the reloading components and the rifle I'm overloaded. I've simplified my herd quite a bit lately.
When I got my first .308 I thought it was the ultimate all around cartridge, the more I shot it the more I figured out it wasnt for me, tried a muzzle brake and couldnt deal with the blast and noise. I'm thinking a 6mm will fit my disposition a lot better.
