I have worn a watch since a day during my senior year in college when I ask a fellow who was probably about my current age if he knew what time it was. He looked me right in the eye and said "yes" and kept walking. That told me it was time to grow up and wear a watch like other men rather than acting like a kid. I wear cheap Timex camper watch on the weekends and working on the farm or more expensive watches I have recieved as gifts of the years when I wear a suit. I would rather leave my knife at home than my watch.
