Idiotic play call for sure.
BUT---Wilson did NOT put that ball where he should have AND the receiver did not square up to QB or try to block out the defender in any way.
Not only was it a bad call, but very poorly executed by Wilson and his WR...........
It's reported this morning that the pats have been running that very play in practice to prep the defense. Butler reacted instantly. That's good coaching, and great talent on defense.
