... When a defense can't hold a lead, it puts extra pressure on the offense to score enough points to win and sometimes that doesn't happen. I realize the last call could have been the difference between a win and a loss but it would have been immaterial if the defense had done their job, or done what they did during the regular season. They simply didn't execute.
That is a very good observation. It seems like defense always gets a pass and the offense gets the blame. Offense wins games, defense is supposed to keep you from losing them.
