Hunt, I bought a new 7mm-08 last June and as SAS said, it didn't require much tinkering. The mag box was ground down at the factory so it didn't bind, and the front action screw was the right length. All I did was adjust the trigger slightly and had the action bedded (I did replace the aluminum painted trigger guard with an old-style stainless). I couldn't be happier with mine.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.
