While camping, I used to make biscuits out of self-rising flour and then fried them in bacon grease. Not pretty or flaky by any means, but they were fairly tasty. I imagine you could probably make more conventional biscuits in a dutch oven, but I've never tried it.

My daughter and I will probably be there on Saturday around noon (or a bit after lunchtime) and we'll likely depart on Monday in the late AM.
