I know of no one shooting an A.I chamber mainly for the slight performance improvement. Most guys do it for brass life and decreased trimming that the Ackley body brings to the table. Take my 22 K-Hornet for example. With hornet brass being paper thin they never lasted long until it was reamed to Ackley specs, now I get 12-15 loads from my brass and I load them plenty stout.

That it gets you a little more speed is just a bonus for guys that actually use their guns and not just look at them particularly when lots of calibers are still experiencing a brass shortage.
