Tzone I can respect that and that's enough. But to Battues point I have to say you can move up the list but as you go larger then your first sentence does begin to come into play. With the 243,6mm and 6mmCM not so much. The bottom line to me is the sweet spot for the varmint deer/antelope combo is the 24s hands down . Of course ymmv.
I have shot deer with quite a few different calibers/cartriges. I don't have a Kimber Montana. They're very light, shoot great, and the .223 Rem is a great round.
