Af, I too got my degree in 1974. Everything she said is correct. When the Chief Nurses job was changed from overseeing patient care to being a manager finding ways to cut expenses, everything started going to he!!. As others have said, with the incorporation of medical care, and the personification of corporations, patient care has become an impersonal business.
