I was a roustabout on a rig in the GOM making 79k a year
21 on 21 off.
Entry level crane team deck position.
Then we went to the black sea and had ta remove our derrick and reinstall it to get under the bridge in the bosphorus straights at istanbul to set up for natural gas drilling ops in a severely cold weather enviorment.
80 million dollar project.
Multiple international companies involved in it all.
Got promoted to head rigger/ banksman for that portion prior to drilling ops, everything that went to and from that rig via a 500tn land based crane or the starboard 90 tn rig crane went thru me, I went to roughneck afterwards for drilling ops.
Made 129k a yr for 28 on 28 off.

I really doubt some 20yr old was making 200k a yr operating heavy equipment.....
