That is a common question I see asked when any one is on a political discussion and the state I live in comes up.
There are more good reasons than I can shake a stick at. If there were a country better than the US, I'd move there. If there were a state better than Oregon, I'd move there. I'm here. Says something. It doesn't matter where you go, there will be tradeoffs. If you get more of this good thing, you get more of that bad thing with it, inseparable. I was born here. Other than a few short stints .. and a minor bit of travel .. I've spent my life here. God willing, when it is my time I will die here.
