Called this guy up this morning and shot him in the shirt pocket from exactly 50 paces, blood spot on his side is the exit. [Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Indianed up on about 10-12 pigs sleeping soundly in a thicket, 5 are still sleeping. [Linked Image from i.postimg.cc] [Linked Image from i.postimg.cc] [Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Everything this morning caught a 69gr RMR SMK clone on top of 24.5gr of 748. I feel like I have used them on enough critters now to have an opinion. I don’t hate them but I also won’t be making them my first choice. They will bust a shoulder even on big pigs but they don’t seem really consistent. Sometimes they seem to frag inside pigs and icepick on softer targets like coyotes. Honestly I don’t seem to have real good luck with HP bullets in general as I’ve reported on my less than impressive results with various Hornady HPs. Maybe it’s the lower speeds of an 18” 223 but I seem to have much better luck with tipped or soft point bullets.
