Dang that is cold,
As far as cleaning goes, I did use a bucket of hot soapy water, and placed a small hose on the nipple and dropped the other end into the bucket. Tight patch on the cleaning jag and it would suck the hot soapy water up thru the nipple and clean everything. It was the clean up and drying out and oiling back up to keep the rust at bay that was what I hated.
