Chimed in early, then ignored this thread.
I get the scchidts of people being split into groups.
Peeked in, and wasted an hour.
But,at least it got on some points that weren't tribal.

As to the group thing?
It serves some small, legitimate purposes.

Mostly it serves the vast purpose it's intended for.
Tribalism.

Boomers were the only generation I ever heard about until Brokaw wrote about
The Greatest.

Both were, in my opinion, not simply about a period in which one was born.
They were about the socioeconomic/ circumstances those periods experienced.
(And more. Unique circumstances in history)

Suddenly it's X, Y, X pdq.......(54 years old, only recently knew I was "A Generation, more recently found out what group i should identify with🙄)

And contention between those groups.
Stupid, false contention.
As retarded as those who wanna hate based on geography, culture, religions,
skin color......

Stereotypes are a real thing, applied to a large enough sample.
They fall apart the moment the group sample gets smaller.
I've met great people in big cities, on the coasts, even NYC and Jersey.
Some real fecal extruders in the South and mid west.
And the opposites.
White, black, and brown, is no indication.

Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
