Farmers are all in the fields, and work was caught up, so I slipped out for a morning run. First time out in about 2 wks. First woods I went to is small[about 4 acres], but is loaded with oak, hickory and squirrels!. Pulled up to the woods and they had a logging crew in there cutting the woods. Went on to a woods I can hunt, but hadn't been in yet, this season. Long story short, saw 5, heard at least 3 more, and got 2. If I could shoot straight, shoulda had 4. Good thing I'm getting my bifocals checked, in a coupla weeks.
