I've had my 585HE bruiser for a month now and am very happy with it. I went with the Enfield action and left hand thumbhole stock.
Had a McMillan 50 cal muzzle brake I had lying around bored out to 5/8" ID and that brake makes the rifle a pleasure to shoot.
No change in accuracy with the brake off, but I can only fire 3 shots offhand before my shoulder starts to feel it.
With the brake on, I can shoot till I run out of ammo.
I've been plinking with 650 grain cast projos and just ordered some 750 grain jacketed round nose projos for hunting this fall.
I'm saving my pennies to have a 750 grain mould made.
Started out using 50 bmg surplus powders I had on hand, but those powders are way to slow burning and the large rifle magnum primers don't ignite 170+ grains of charcoal powder efficiently. Left a lot of residue in the barrel.
Switched to Reloader 25 + H1000 and had much better results, plus better accuracy.
Go big or Go Home.
