This is some fascinating stuff! I've been doing a little shooting using an unmodified NEF Ultra in 12 Gauge, but I shoot mine with black powder (so far). Loads to date have been with a Lyman round ball (about 600 gr.), a NEI slug (about 830 gr.) and a home-made slug from a bored-out Lee 1 oz mold (about 840 gr.). I haven't chronographed my loads yet, but subjectively they are considerably faster than the loads I shoot in BPCR competition. 6 drams (about 160 gr. 2Fg) is as high as I've gotten, it is nice and accurate out to 200 meters, and it's about as much as I want to hold on to in this light a gun. As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures, I'll put a couple up.
