Barrel length is tougher. I think the standard 21” feels pretty good. A little longer would be fine, or a little heavier. But I’d not want it much heavier as that would take it out of its niche as a lightweight rifle.


Exactly. The exact barrel length and profile is such a debated topic it is impossible to please everyone.

The mission of the current short-action Fieldcraft is to be extremely lightweight, simple and reliable while giving up nothing in precision.

The 18" threaded barrel models share that mission while being compact enough to be used suppressed at all times.
