Thank you so much for one of the few sane replies. I hadn't looked at Vortex....that scope looks almost ideal. I have a 2-7 Burris FF II on my .358 BLR which is perfect for this gun, but no longer available. I am looking at getting a single shot Henry or lever 45-70 for the same general application, likely with cast boolits. When I go open sights, it is BP/ML flintlock.
