I'm not passing judgement on the older man. If I caught 2 young men on my private property hunting and they gave me grief and threatened me while armed what choice do you have? It's a shame you can't shoot armed trespassers - poachers on your own property.
The young men were in their own duck blind. The old man left his blind and came over to theirs and killed them. No private property issues.
