We did "OK"... Nothing close to a limit. But, didn't get skunked, either. Our shooting sucked the first day. Second and third day, we dropped birds out of each group that flared. We hunted with a buddy on a slough on private property. Friend of a friend hunted Reelfoot the week before we got there. Not many birds that week, either.

If Reelfoot is on your bucket list, I say "Go for it." I would not let this incident change your mind. And there can be a BUNCH of ducks there. But, like any other type of hunting, timing is everything. Three weeks ago, the cold weather had not yet forced the ducks down out of the upper flyway. With this last bad weather that just came through, today they are probably covered over with ducks. Of course today is also the last day of the season... smile
