Interesting question...I guess it depends on where and how I'm hunting that day. If I'm out wandering around in the woods still hunting, I usually carry my Ruger tang safety 30-06. If sitting on the rock that overlooks a huge hollow where I can shoot 400 yards, I carry the MarkV 270 Weatherby magnum. If we're driving I carry the Marlin guide gun 45/70. However I recently got a Sako AV project in 7mm rem mag. Needs reblued and has a small crack in the stock that needs repaired. Also have a model 70 in 338 win mag that hasn't drawn blood yet. Way overkill for whitetails, but it'll kill em dead. As far as a favorite, can't pick as I love em all!

If it looks good, you'll see it
If it sounds good, you'll hear it
If it's marketed right, you'll buy it
But...If it's real, you'll feel it
