I like the 30 caliber rifles and the 7mm’s, But I’ve found that the 27 caliber works great too. (As does the 25).

My only 26 was a 264 Win and I sold that 50 years ago. So I can’t say 26 is a favorite for deer. But I’d love to have a 6.5-06, a 6.5x55 like MD had made for him, and even a custom 6.5x57. I’ve been looking at 264’s on internet sites. Maybe I will re-barrel a tanger that I have to 264, but I’m leaning towards a 257 Weatherby.
