My first rifle I owned, the 7X57 was a dandy on everything I uses it on and that was with 140 grain low velocity factory core locks. First deer I shot separated the heart into two seperate pieces right down the middle! That's when I new I was one hell of a hunter and very dangerous to boot. Nothing out there has been safe to this very day......Lol

I have always believed it to be shot placement highly over cartridge choice so for me makes no difference. Now days I take my 223 a fair amount


Good bullets properly placed always work, but not everyone knows what good bullets are, or can reliably place them in the field
