I think you're exactly right. Along those lines, if people really wanted to get at Burns, they would ignore every thread he gets involved with. Irrelevance is the most feared fate of narcissists. Trading jabs makes him happy because folks are talking about him. Not difficult to figure out, but many keep taking the bait.

BoozeFace comes from an era when you could bullschit people and they would generally accept your bullschit. He and his ilk cannot accept that the internet doesn't allow for that in 2022. If you don't call people like him on their schit others will accept them as "experts" in their respective snake oil field. It emboldens them and they'll chatter on and on just as much as they do when arguing for themselves.
BoozeFace lies repeatedly and you can see that he is good at it. He will start with the tiniest fragment of a fact and try to tack on additional claims to it. If you don't catch it he feels like he's gaining something. If you call him on it he becomes enraged and will stay up for days on end justifying his false claims.
It's a very common trait among frauds and con men.
