Anybody use any of the old hornady 175 gr roundnose bullets. I bought some reloading stuff from an older guy and found 2 boxes of them.
Tested some one time, with a MV of down to 1800 fps. There was a large mazanita tree I used as a back stop at 100 yds.
Was surprised to see that they penetrated the tree and exited out the back... plowing thru 18 to 19 inches of hard wood. the exit hole, had wood pealed like a banana peel, 10 to 12 inches on each side of the exit hole.
Good reason I am a big fan of sectional density.
