When they attack with bricks, rocks, frozen water bottles, fireworks or powerful lasers that blind people, then they should be shot where they stand.
ABSOLUTELY! It's the fault of those who had a duty to deploy the police decisively early on, but didn't. We only have police so that they can take these types of actions against those who would tear down our civilization. If they fail to do so, it leaves civilization no choice but to act as the police were supposed to, as best they are able.
