If the police would have taken a stand early on, there would not have been an escalation like we have seen.

BLM is nothing more than a terrorist organization taking advantage of incidents.

When they attack with bricks, rocks, frozen water bottles, fireworks or powerful lasers that blind people, then they should be shot where they stand.

ABSOLUTELY! It's the fault of those who had a duty to deploy the police decisively early on, but didn't. We only have police so that they can take these types of actions against those who would tear down our civilization. If they fail to do so, it leaves civilization no choice to to act as the police were supposed to, as best they are able.

I agree it is their duty to do so, but it is not necessarily in their interest.

Got to remember that the LEAs and armed forces serve the interests of the ruling class, full stop.

In the past, when the ruling classes were not as alien to and alienated from the typical American, there was more common interest in an orderly society. When groid-kin and antifa are torching groid-ville or mercantile districts or going out into middle-class suburbs, nothing that the ruling class cares about is threatened. The ruling class (fed, state, local) does not live there and does not work there. What may happen that DOES threaten the ruling class is loss of legitimacy(1) is regular folks taking care of business. Solid citizens keeping order while LEOs stand around with their thumbs up their azzes makes the ruling class and thier tools look foolish, ineffective, and undermines the ruling class's legitimate claim to rule. That is why you see LEOs ignoring, playing catch-and-release with the rioters while coming down with the prosecutorial/persecutorial hammer on solid citizens who defend themselves or their community.

Where the ruling class is closer to the ruled, such as in rural counties and small towns, there is still more common interest in order. There we see sheriffs/chiefs and their departments working more closely with the ruled to maintain order.

100%

Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are perfect examples of how this all COULD have been handled.

Yep.

DFW, too. Antifa & BLM tried their antics, but DPD (with the backing of the ruling class) was having none of it. First time, they arrested EVERYONE lickety-split. And when antifa & BLM went to a suburb, locals ran them off posthaste.

Not that he wouldn't.
