Who are you arguing with? I simply asserted that Kyle running away from a single armed guy all the way down the street was a signal that yes, he was afraid, and that no, he wasn't "cool as a cucumber."

He looked pretty cool. Even after killing two, and blowing another guy's arm off.
Does he look frightened to you, even after it was all over and he walked towards the police?
Some people might be misinterpreting the Fear element to justified self-defense. It doesn't mean you have to literally experience the emotion of fright. It only means that you've made a reasonable assessment that you're in imminent jeopardy of being attacked in such as way as to cause serious bodily injury or death. This often causes the emotion of fright, but actual fright is irrelevant to the law of self defense. People with "ice water for blood" can also justify deadly force in self-defense, so long as they have made a reasonable assessment that they are in imminent jeopardy of being seriously injured or killed.
