Benelli SBE3 with 2.5 ounce tss turkey loads is a handful. Even with a steadygrip stock.

My 7600 carbine 35 whelen with full house 225 grain loads is a handful and a half. That's a light rifle.

I don't load my .45-70 hot enough to worry about anymore. I used to load 425 grain casts hot enough it would rattle the teeth in my skull and almost put me on my butt. I'm surprised I haven't blown that Marlin apart.
