ghost;
Good morning to you sir, thanks for posing the interesting question and thanks to those who've responded and made for some equally fascinating reading.

We're allowed 3 deer a year here province wide, excluding the Queen Charlotte Islands/Haida Gwaii zone with is 15.

I was and remain a man most blessed in that at one time or another I was able to hunt with my good wife, two daughters, my late father and the best hunting partner a person could imagine - and during that time I served as official "hunt evisceration specialist". wink

Rather than stating how many I've shot, if I can be allowed I'll simply say that I did sit down one day and count how many deer I've removed the entrails from and it passed 100 many seasons back.

As we've cut and wrapped our own game as well as helped friends and family do that since '89, I'd estimate that number to be between 175 and 200 deer, maybe 20 black bears, a couple moose and that many California bighorn rams. I've added that information because I'd opine we've learned as much or more about cartridge/bullet performance processing the carcass as we did from shooting it.

Thanks again for the thread all, all the best to all respondents and good luck on all your remaining hunts.

Dwayne
