The hammer forged barrel of the Accugard might be a little over/under the bore of the Mk V and with the softer(?) Interlocks the bore variation may have made no difference. I was under the impression that Weatherby receives barreled actions from Howa for the ‘Guards and if so, may not have been chambered by the same reamers. Just a guess. That variation in MV could be that one doesn’t like the LRX as well. Unless you shot one string, shot the other, then repeated in the same session, your chronograph could be the difference?
