You're dead right about the public schools. Even the good ones are going to be socialist training camps, because that's what the staff is. We put ours in a good Christian school pretty early, but those can have their own issues, and learning about Jesus ain't one of them.
In either case, smart kids can usually see through the bullsh*t, but not always, so why take the chance if there are options?
