When discussions of morals and ethics become circular all one has to do to arrive at the best solution is:
"Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You."
I have yet to encounter an ethical or moral dilemma to which this simple thing is not the best answer. It's easy to remember too.

Your normative ethics tells the mother of a drug addict "Sorry, but your child decided to OD of their own free will. I, as society, should not interfere". You guys are as creepy than the pure Darwinists.
