Didn't you find it kind of demeaning to ask permission to defend yourself? I mean asking for a license and all?
I don't know if demeaned is the right word. Annoyed maybe.....like paying a speeding ticket. I'd rather stay on the right side of the law if at all possible. Georgia is a "shall issue" state which means that if you don't have a criminal record or are otherwise ineligible they have to give you the license.......if you give them $85 every 5 years. Like most "law enforcement" its a revenue raising tool for them. They have never gotten constitutional carry through here......yet, and they probably never will because they would have to give up that money.
