I carried pocket for several years, and still do so on occasion. Despite fantasies of being rushed by a knifeman from 21' it is a completely viable method, for most. I'm a big guy and wear loose fitting carpenter jeans or chino style slacks most of the time. Check your pockets to see if they'll work. Try to put a balled fist into and out of your pocket without relaxing it, for starters.

That said, I've come to prefer IWB and 4:00 carry. As mentioned, I'm a big guy and I tend to run hot. Also, I'm not comfortable without a shirt tucked in, and particularly so with a holster in my belt.
So despite the fact that I run hot, I often wear a t-shirt tucked, and a second t shirt for cover. Even at temps near 100 and humidity at 90+relative, it's not uncomfortable.

Started noticing guys wearing Ts under polo shirts about the time Concealed carry became prevalent. And I assume it's for the same reason I do it.
