I'm happier with longer barreled semi autos because I can hit better with them than their shorter barreled versions. I feel they are a bit more reliable too.

I'm a bit portly also, but the longer barrel is no problem with comfort or concealment ... it just hangs down along side my butt cheek where I carry at 3 to 4 oclock. For me the length and thickness of the pistol grip is the biggest factor for comfort and successfully hiding the weapon.

Are you guys, carrying in this manner wearing 'spenders.

My belt is cinched so tight it nearly cuts me in half. And my britches still want to ide down to my knees with empty pockets.

I can not imagine trying to carry a weapon IWB.

I've been carrying IWB all day long for more than 20 years. Before that I occasionally carried IWB, but also pocket carry and OWB, going back to 1980, when I got my first concealed carry permit. No suspenders. Just a proper belt for the task and a good IWB holster. No problem with pants falling down. You're doing something wrong.

The smallest guns I've carried IWB have been a Colt Detective Special and a Glock 43. For a while, I even carried a J-Frame IWB. Nowadays, and for the past couple years, it's been the Glock 26 almost exclusively, although sometimes I switch to either the Glock 43 or 19. Before that, for many years, I was almost exclusively carrying the Glock 17 IWB. Earlier on, full size 1911s, steel K-Frames, and a few others.

It takes a few weeks to get used to it, and then you forget they're there.
