In interior Alaska, I see a surprising amount of open sighted big bore levers for moose. Mostly .45/70. Personally though, it is bolt guns for about everything for me here, either 6.5x284 or .300 H&H.

Back where I am from in Idaho and Montana and still hunt mule deer and elk every year, bolt guns in normal .300 Win/WSM, -06 and .270 Win level rounds still rule. I use them but also use lever guns a fair bit, especially if I am on horseback.

The last few years I am unsurprisingly seeing more bolt actions and especially Creedmores everywhere I hunt.
