I hunt southern Iowa where it's any old shotgun and the cheapest slug they had at Walmart. Most deer have 3-5 holes in them before they go down. I use a 350 legend but it's a bolt which isn't ideal on drives. Probably switch to a shotgun with red dot for next year. I travel to rifle hunt every year. I use a cheap 270 bolt for that because that's what I have. I always tell myself that I am going to buy something nice but I have not done so. All I ever see are bolt guns when I travel.
