I hunt mostly in Oregon. For big game I hunt blacktail deer, whitetail deer, mule deer, black bear, cougar, antelope, sheep and elk.
I usually use a bolt '06 with 180 gr NPT's, TBBC or a 180 gr cup and core. For branch bulls I use my .bolt 338 Win Mag and 225 gr bullets, TBBC, NPT or Hornady I/L.
We doe hunt where cf rifles aren't allowed most years. I have been using a scoped Savage 220 with Remington 3 in Accu Tip slugs.
I bought a 6.5 Creedmoor Hunter and a Ruger GSR a few years ago but I haven't used them or any of my other larger rifles on big game lately. Tags are too hard to come by.
