Central Ohio. Used to use a 12 gauge for deer. Now I use an AR-15 350 Legend, Marlin 45-70, or Remlin 1894 .44 magnum. I have a Ruger .44 carbine that I haven't hunted with yet, but plan to. I always hunted groundhogs in the summer with my Remington 788 .243. Seems like there aren't as many groundhogs as there used to be. I think the flourishing coyote population is thinning them out.
