Jim Mars book Crossfire is revealing. Having shot the Carcano carbine, the one a few inches shorter than the one found, I promise you will have a tough time cycling the action and enduring the wallop. The iron sights are so crude and it's so inaccurate, hitting anything is mostly luck. Remember the scope was so off it had to be shimmed to be zeroed before the experts fired it. Also, not to brag , but even I could pepper a pumpkin that fast with a Tikka at 70 yards. Trouble is, when the shots were fired, the limo was hidden by a live oak tree making it impossible. Also, as Mars shows, there is no way anyone could have easily fired from the "snipers nest" as suggested due to the window height and adjacent pipes. James Files seems believable. His background stories have been corroborated. Nicoletti or someone in the Daltex building had a better straight on shot than the book building. Mars covers a lot of "editing" in conflicting crime scene surveys, etc. LBJ had the motive; he was headed for prison over a lot of fraud in Texas. And he had the means of setting the stage with his associates owning the book depository, etc. He also had the means and cooperation of Hoover, secret service, CIA to coordinate and cover it all up. Then there is Oswald and Mrs. Payne, a very ice cold woman key to the patsy fabrication. Oswald was CIA, knew Ruby, and the weirdos in New Orleans. They meant to kill him in the theater but that got messed up. He never fired a shot. The parafin test proved it.
